NO SHAVE NOVEMBER SCHOLARSHIP – Hey Hawks! Stop by the Activities Office to pick up a No Shave November Scholarship application. It’s 500 bucks. You don’t want to miss out on that. They are due April 27th.

COMMUNITY SERVICE – Volunteers are needed for Orange County’s Foundation Games. Cheer on over 1000 students as they participate in this annual event. Volunteers must be 15 years or older. COMMUNITY SERVICE – The Placentia Girl Scouts are hosting a Pinewood Derby event at the Tommy Lasorda Field House and are in need of volunteers. HELP GETTING INTO COLLEGE – There is a great opportunity for students to get help getting into college. If you are a current junior, are A-G Eligible (on track for university), have a 3.0 or higher GPA and receive free/reduced lunch you are eligible to apply for Reality Changers College Prep After-School Program. This is a free program designed to assist students who need guidance with all things college (often attended by first-generation college students). Please sign up in the Counseling Office if you have an interest in the program. Applications will be given to those who show interest and who qualify. You only have the next five days to sign up as Reality Changers will be coming soon for orientation. Miss Carvelli

PRISM – PRISM – “From the Heart”, is this week! TONIGHT and Saturday night you can sit in the PAC Hawk’s Nest for only $5.00. Buy your tickets at the ticket booth at the PAC the night of the show. Show starts at 7:00 p.m. Lots of student solos and duets plus each choir! Mr. Peterson
CREATIVE WRITING JOURNAL SUBMISSIONS – This is the last week to submit your work for publication to the EDHS Creative Writing Journal. Submit electronically to Mrs. Wolf at awolf@pylusd.org. COLLEGE FAIR – There is a college fair this Sunday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Anaheim Convention Center. It is free to attend but you need to register here: https://www.nacacfairs.org/attend/national-college-fairs/orange-county/.

**SCHOLARSHIPS – We have some local scholarship opportunities still out there! There are 3 local scholarships due to Counseling by 3:30 p.m. TODAY. They are: Stephanie Hernandez Memorial Scholarship, EDHS Men’s Soccer Scholarship, and the Mike Oberle Memorial Scholarship. Due next week are: No Shave November (4/27), Golden Elementary (4/28), did you go to Golden? If so apply and EDHS Tennis. A new scholarship was also just added. Heart of Golden Hawk is a new scholarship created by the class of 1981. This scholarship is for an EDHS senior who embodies the Hawk spirit and sense of community. FULLERTON COLLEGE – Fullerton College is hosting “Family and High School Senior Night” on Wednesday, April 26th from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. This will help make a successful transition into college. No need to RSVP!
