FINANCIAL AID TIPS FOR SENIOR FAMILIES

FAFSA is NOW OPEN!

FAFSA opened Dec. 31st! Deadline is April 2nd

For PROMISE Program (2 years free tuition at community college) the FAFSA must be filed!

1. To apply, create an FSA ID- both student & parent need to complete this process to electronically sign the FAFSA. Click here to start the process. Make sure you have your social security number with you!
 
2. It’s important that FAFSA info matches what is on student's birth cert & social security. A change in name or bday will cause delays.
 
3. Gather your parent's federal tax documents for 2022

5. FAFSA/CADAA Opt-Out Form: click here! Please turn it in to the Counseling Office.

If so, the CA Dream Act is for students who are not US Citizens, National or Permanent residents or do not fulfill ALL of the FAFSA requirements.  The DREAM application is unique to California promoting access to all students regardless of immigration statues and/or documentation.  Click link below to start the application.
