Yearbooks will be distributed on Tuesday, June 3rd at 2:15 p.m. for seniors and after school for everyone else. Have you bought one yet? There are only 50 yearbooks left and they will go fast. Last year was a sellout and we anticipate that happening again. The price will increase to $110.00 for everyone beginning June 1st. Don’t wait or you may be disappointed. You MUST have I.D. to pick up your book and you may not pick up someone else’s book or your book if you have a debt.

El Dorado “Big Jazz Concert” this Friday, May 23, 7pm at Yorba Linda Friends Church. Each year, the El Dorado Jazz I band puts on this concert and features a guest artist. This year, the Grammy award winning musician/composer Gordon Goodwin will be joining the band. Also featured will be the jazz bands from Tuffree MS and Yorba Linda MS, who will also be performing with Mr. Goodwin. Tickets are $10 each.
This week is the best live vocal music concert of the year featuring all three choirs. It’s PRISM!! Five shows – Wednesday April 9th through Saturday April 12th all shows at 7:00 p.m. Also, there is a special matinee on Saturday April 12th at 1:00 p.m. The $10.00 tickets go on sale Monday April 7th at lunch.
Drawings, paintings, sculpture, pottery, photography, crafts, and animated films! Where can you go to see all of these things produced by some of the finest art students on the planet? The PYLUSD student art show, “Artworks” opens Thursday April 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The show is at the ESC on Casa Loma (corner of Casa Loma and Yorba Linda Blvd.), where it continues through April 10th. FILM FESTIVAL – Are you interested in filmmaking? Do you and your friends make home movies? Why not enter the El Dorado Film Festival? Entering is free. AP TESTS – Students who are planning on taking an AP test; this is a reminder that Friday March 21st is the absolute last day to purchase AP tests. The tests are $84.00 a piece.

The EDHS Mock Trial team defeated Santa Margarita in semifinal action February 26th and will advance to the Orange County Mock Trial finals this Saturday, March 1. If you’d like to come see some remarkable and impressive legal action, the finals this year are doubleheader action - our Prosecution team will face off against Woodbridge’s defense at 9:00am on Saturday at the Orange County Courthouse (in Santa Ana) and then our Defense team will meet Woodbridge’s prosecution at 1:30pm on Saturday. The winner will be determined by the combined results of both rounds.
