**PRE-SALE JOURNALS – The deadline for the 07-08 Lit Journal pre-sale is almost here. If you would like a copy see Mrs. Wolf in P-29 by lunch on May 12th. The cost is $10.00. Mrs. Wolf
GIRLS GOLF – There is an informational meeting for any girls interested in trying out for the girl’s golf team on Friday in Room 806 at lunch. Mrs. Chavez
LOST AND FOUND – Please check the Lost and found in Attendance for any of your lost items. Items not claimed by May 9th will be donated to the Goodwill. Mrs. Nielsen
TIRELESS EFFORT – Thank you to Mr. Cyrus and Ms. Carvelli for their tireless dedication to El Dorado and its students. Coach Cyrus works tirelessly on the court and with his Language Arts student, and Ms. Carvelli devotes much time to ROP in addition to her other duties as counselor. Thank you for all you do! COLORGUARD AUTITIONS – Auditions for the 2008-2009 El Dorado Colorguard are coming up soon. Experience isn’t required to audition. You can learn what you need to know at the beginner classes Thursday starting at 3:30 p.m. Audition clinics will be held after school on May 12th through May 15th. Auditions are Friday, May 16th. Stop by the band room or the front office for more information on how to become part of the El Dorado Colorguard Team.

GOVERNMENT CLUB MEETING – TODAY during lunch we will have a debate on the issue of abortion. Come to Room 308 and be ready to ask good questions. Mr. Disbennett
PROM – Prom tickets go on sale Monday, May 12th. The prices are $122.00 per couple with an ASB imprint, and $125.00 per couple without an ASB imprint. The prices will not change. Here are a few reminders: You must have an I.D. card with you to buy the ticket. If you are bringing a guest from another school, you must have the guest pass completed, signed and a copy of your guest’s picture I.D. with you when you buy your ticket. We only accept cash or checks, no credit cards. You must have all your debts paid. We will check. Please use the Express Mail Box when ever you can. Mrs. Brick
PROM THEATRON – Can you write in a funky fresh way, can you paint? Sign up to submit your own creation to our Prom Theatron. Sign ups are in front of Ms. Cecil’s office at lunch. Show us how you rock! Ms. Cecil
RENO JAZZ FESTIVAL – Congratulations to Ethan Helm of Jazz I for receiving the Outstanding Soloist Award for the entire Jazz Festival. Way to go! Our Jazz I Ensemble came in third. Congratulations. Mr. Watson
DEBT LISTS – New and revised Debt Lists have been posted on the windows of the Finance Office for all grades. Be sure to come by and check them out. Prom tickets go on sale Monday, May 12th. Prom tickets can not be purchased until your debts are paid. Yearbooks will be coming in June. You will not receive your yearbook until your debts are paid. Seniors, you will not pick up your cap and gown in June until your debts are paid. Seniors, do you want to go to Magic Mountain for Senior Day? You can’t go until your debts are paid. Be responsible and pay your debts or you may miss out on some fun. Mrs. Brick
WITH HOPE FOUNDATION WALK – On May 18th from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. With Hope will sponsor a walk to raise money for suicide prevention in memory of Amber Craig who attended El Dorado. The donation is $25.00 for all participants. If you would like to sign up or earn service hours go to www.withhopefoundation.org or see Ms. Cecil in Activities. Support this important cause. WITH HOPE FOUNDATION WALK – BANDS WANTED – The With Hope Foundation is looking for bands who want to play at their benefit walk on May 18th. If you have a band and are interested, please call 470-1051. Ms. Cecil









THE DIVINERS – The final theater production of the year, The Diviners, will take place TODAY through May 10th at 7:00 p.m. in the theatre. Tickets are $6.00 if purchased by lunch TODAY and $8.00 after that. The Diviners is a beautiful story about a young boy who is terrified of water, and the friendship he develops with an ex-preacher who comes to town. The cast is made up of 11 members of Thespian Troupe 199. This is an evening of theatre you won’t want to miss.
