**LIBRARY – The library will be closed the first week of school. Mrs. Guy
**SPIRIT SHIRTS – Football season is underway. Join us in the Hawk’s Nest at all games and sport your spirit shirt. Shirts are $10.00 and can be purchased at the Finance Office windows. Ms. Cecil
**ASB – Congratulations to Derek McGrath and Jessica Galea who won first place in a competition at the O.C. Leadership Camp at UCSB in August. Ms. Cecil
**VOLLEYBALL FUNDRAISER – Next week, on September 11th, our girl’s volleyball team will play Esperanza here at home. Tickets are $5.00. All proceeds will be donated for breast cancer awareness. Come support our Lady Hawks and a great cause! Ms. Cecil
**FRESHMEN – Welcome, Class of 2012! To show you how excited we are to have you at El Dorado, the ASB is holding a VIP Luau celebration for freshmen only on Friday, September 12th from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. before the dance. Purchase your ticket and come to the pre-party to receive free food and treats. Ms. Cecil
**ALOHA, GOLDEN HAWKS – The first dance of the year is on September 12th from 8:00 to 12:00 p.m. Hula on down to the Finance Office to buy your ticket. Remember, this dance is for EDHS students only. Tickets are $10.00 with ASB imprint and $12.00 without. Ms. Cecil
**ASSEMBLY – The first assembly of the year will be next Friday, September 12th. If you see ASB students with cameras smile and be part of the VIP slide show as we get ready for a fantastic year. Ms. Cecil
**CONGRATULATIONS – Congratulations to senior, Rebecca Freeman, who was featured in Sunday’s O.C. Register and even had an article printed on the front page of the travel section. Well done, Rebecca. Ms. Cecil
**MAKE-UP PICTURE DAY – Make-up picture day is September 24th in the teachers lounge. You can enter through the covered lunch area. Pictures will be taken from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Mrs. Brick
**COMMUNITY SERVICE – Community service hours are available for students who would like to help out in the library before school, at break, and after school. See Mrs. Guy or Mrs. Walker in the library if you are interested.

**ATTENTION ALL STUDENT GRADES 10 – 12 – You can now earn college credit at Fullerton College if you take our Legal/Law Enforcement class here at EDHS. See your counselor for details! Ms. Carvelli
**CREDIT FOR YOUR JOB – If you have a job, why not earn credit for it? See your counselor to sign up for an ROP class and earn up to 10 credits per semester! Ms. Carvelli
**SCHEDULE PROBLEMS – TODAY only – those students that have a hole in their schedule, duplicate classes, and too many classes in one period, or have been assigned a wrong grade level course may see a counselor to make schedule changes. Regarding the rest of the week: Wednesday is for SENIORS only in regard to a certain class period must come up to the Counseling Office during that class period to make a schedule change. Continuing on Thursday is for JUNIORS, Friday is for SOPHOMORES, and the following Monday is for FRESHMEN. Mrs. Graves
