**RED RIBBON WEEK – Are you drug free? If you are, wear red tomorrow, and if your teacher allows you to be dismissed, we will be taking a group picture at 9:45 in the theatron on Thursday. Ms. Cecil
**ARTS PERSON OF THE WEEK – Congratulations to Darin Rucker for being this week’s Arts Person. Darin has excelled in ceramics for the past 1 ½ years. He has grown as an artist and has come up with creative and innovative solutions to the projects presented to him. Great job! Ms. Cecil
**PAPER AIRPLANE CONTEST – Do you love making paper airplanes, but always get in trouble in class? Well now is your chance to show off your master paper airplane skills! Come to the theatron Thursday at lunch and see if your plane flies the furthest! The winner gets a $10.00 Starbucks card and 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place winners get candy. Remember that “Drugs don’t fly” at El Dorado! Ms. Cecil
SPANISH CLUB – Come to a Halloween Fiesta with the Spanish Club at lunch on Thursday in Room 401. It will be spooktackuylar! Mrs. Vernier-Estrada
ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Congratulations to this week’s Athlete of the Week Rachel Simmons. Rachel is a part of El Dorado’s golf team. Congratulations, Rachel! Ms. Cecil
CALIFORNIA STATE STUDENT MOCK ELECTION – This is the week for the election. You will have a chance to vote for McCain or Obama as well as California Propositions. Voting will take place during lunch in the lunch area and in front of Room 308 TODAY and Thursday. Results will be sent to the California Secretary of State where they will be added to a state wide high school election tally. Take part in our experiment in democracy. VOTE! Mr. Disbennett
CREATIVE WRITING CLUB – Come to P-29 at lunch on Thursday for a Creative Writing Club meeting. Bring your lunch! Mrs. Wolf
HAUNTED HOUSE – Come to the Haunted House on Thursday at lunch in Room 902. Entrance fee is $1.00 per person. Ms. Prisbrey
ART/PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB MEETING – There will be a meeting for the Art & Photography Club in Room 902 TODAY at lunch for all of those who plan to contribute to the Haunted House. Ms. Prisbrey
LOOK GREAT ON HALLOWEEN – Looking for the perfect finishing touch to your Halloween costume? On Friday the theatre department will be open from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. to help you create the perfect Halloween face. Encore Club students will do your makeup for the low price of only $5.00. Zombies, witches, fairies, seriously wounded individuals…you name it, we can make you look like it. While walk-ins are welcome, we encourage you to sign up for at time slot so that you have first priority. We will be taking sign ups this week at lunch TODAY through Thursday. You must pay the $5.00 to reserve your spot. Then, come in on Friday to have your makeup done for you. We will provide everything to make you look SPOOKtacular! Mrs. Switzer
SPECIAL FRIENDS HALLOWEEN HAUNT – On Thursday everyone is welcome to join our pre-Halloween celebration. Bring your lunch and be part of the fun. Remember, lunch time, Room 408, Thursday for a really ghoul time! Mrs. Boese
SCIENCE AND NATURE CLUB – Did you sign up for the Science and Nature Club during Club Rush week? Did you forget to sign up but would like to join anyway? Come to Room 705 on Thursday for the first office meeting of the Science and Nature Club. We will be discussing upcoming activities, our recycling program, and eating pizza…yum!
