PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

ALL STUDENTS

**PHYSICS/CHEM CLUB – Come to the Physics/Chem Club meeting on Thursday at lunch in Room 708. We will do the methane bubble activity. Bring your $3.00 dues for fun and food! Mr. Kanne
**CIF FOOTBALL – Be at Bradford Stadium on Thursday to support our fellow Hawks in the first round of CIF football. Be there at 7:00 p.m. Admission is $5.00 for children and students with an I.D. card. It’s $8.00 for general admission. No one gets in free for CIF games. Ms. Cecil
**CANNED FOOD DRIVE – Please bring cans to your second period class by Friday. Help the less fortunate have a nicer holiday. Mrs. Crays
**BOY’S GOLF – Anyone interested in playing on the boy’s golf team this year must attend a meeting Thursday at lunch in Room 302. This is for all new and returning players. Mr. Carlson
**ENCORE CLUB – There is an Encore Club meeting Thursday at lunch in the theatre. If you missed the last meeting you can still join this week. Just bring your $5.00 dues. We will discuss auditions for the musical, Footloose, as well as do a short workshop in Stage Combat. Don’t miss out! Mrs. Switzer
**TRACK TRYOUTS – For those athletes interested in trying out for the track team, there will be a mandatory meeting TODAY at lunch in P-25. Mr. Beckman
ATTENDANCE – This is just a reminder that you have 24 hours to clear a temporary truancy. Failure to do so will result in the truancy becoming permanent and you will be assigned a Saturday school. Mr. Gullotti
FOOD DAY – Hungry for something new? The Food Day originally scheduled for today has been moved to Friday. Bring your money and support our clubs at lunch on Friday. Ms. Cecil
CLUB PRESIDENTS – Attention all club presidents participating in Food Day. There will be a mandatory meeting at lunch in Room 807 TODAY to discuss Friday’s Food Day. Ms. Cecil
HAWK CONGRESS – The second Hawk Congress of the year will take place Thursday during 4th period in the teacher’s lounge. All Hawk Congress Representatives should report directly to the lounge after 3rd period. Ms. Cecil
WINTER DANCE – Voting for whether the Winter Dance will be formal or casual ends Thursday, so come to the table in front of Activities and cast your vote. You will receive a spirit card for voting. Give your input. Ms. Cecil
CREATIVE WRITING CLUB – There will be a Creative Writing Club meeting at lunch this Thursday. Bring the drafts of your screenplays. Mrs. Wolf
LACROSSE – Interested in being a member of the first ever EDHS Lacrosse team? Girl’s tryouts will be December 1st through 5th. Boy’s tryouts will be December 8th through 12th. Please stop by P-16 before Friday and let Ms. Roberts know you will be attending tryouts! Ms. Roberts
EL DORADO IDOL – Think you have what it takes to be the next El Dorado Idol? Sign up to participate in the theatre department’s annual vocal contest. Students audition with a song sung to a karaoke track. The finalists will compete with two songs in January for cash prizes. Sign ups will take place all this week and next week. There is a $5.00 entry fee for everyone who signs up. Auditions to determine finalists will be held in December. Sign up at the table in front of the theatre TODAY! Mrs. Switzer
ICE SKATING FUNDRAISER – TONIGHT at the Yorba Linda Ice Palace the public skate session will be a fundraiser for the theatre department. If you skate between 6:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. and make sure to pay at the register marked for EDHS Theatre, your half of your skate rental will be donated to the theatre department. So head on over to the Yorba Linda Ice Palace TONIGHT at 6:45 p.m. and join us. The cost to skate is $10.00. Mrs. Switzer
STUART LITTLE – The students in Intermediate and Advanced Theatre will present a one act version of Stuart Little. The show starts at 7:00 p.m. on November 21st and 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on November 22nd. This is a great show to bring your younger siblings to. Tickets are $3.00 for children 3 to 12 years old and $5.00 for anyone over 12. The show runs less than an hour. Tickets can be purchased at the door prior to the show or in front of the theatre Tuesday and Wednesday at lunch. Mrs. Switzer

**SENIOR QUAD DAY – What’s that poppin’ seniors? Oh, that’s kettle korn coming this Friday. Pop on down to the Senior Quad for some yummy, sweet, salty goodness! Ms. Cecil
MISS PLACENTIA CONTESTANTS WANTED – The Miss Placentia Pageant will be giving away over $14,000.00 this year, and they are still looking for contestants. Don’t miss out on a great opportunity. Go to the website, www.missplacentiapageant.org for more details. Ms. Cecil
