Garden Grove Elks Lodge Scholarship Committee: Student Volunteer Opportunity

Event: Dollars for Scholars / Game Night Fundraiser
Date: Saturday, November 14, 2026

Volunteer Responsibilities

Students will help run and manage a variety of game stations throughout the evening, including:

• Plinko, Left-Right-Center, Yahtzee, Corn Hole, Spinning Wheel, Dart Poker & more

As guests participate in the games, volunteers will distribute ticket stubs based on game outcomes. These stubs determine how many raffle tickets each guest earns, so students should be responsible, attentive, and comfortable interacting with guests.

Event Schedule

• Arrival: No later than 3:00 PM for training, game overview, and assignments

• Doors Open: 4:00 PM

• Gaming Begins: 5:00 PM

• Event Ends: Approximately 9:00 PM

Volunteer Hours

Students will receive 7 total community service hours:

• 6 hours for event participation, 1 additional hour for travel time (30 minutes before and 30 minutes after)

Additional Information

Volunteers will be provided with food and refreshments throughout the evening, including a fully loaded potato bar, nacho bar, hearty appetizers, lemonade, and iced tea. Students will also receive tickets for a chance to win prizes during the event.

This is a wonderful opportunity for students to earn community service hours, gain valuable event experience, meet members of the community, and help support scholarships for local students.
