**NONSENSE IN THE NEST – The Nonsense in the Nest rally is next Friday, so we are having Nonsense in the Nest lunchtime activities on Monday and Thursday to get you guys ready! Come and sign up in the Activities Office to represent your class. Don’t miss out! Mr. Campuzano
**ART WALK – Thank you to all students and staff who attended last Wednesday’s lunchtime Art Walk in 902. Raffle winner is Cailey Staggs! Cailey, we will drop off your free box of Girl Scout cookies to your 2nd period class. Come visit 902 this Wednesday and maybe you will be our next raffle winner! Mrs. Ross
**FRENCH CLUB – Come to Room 406 at lunch on Monday to find out all about French movies! Mrs. Lovering
**COMMUNITY SERVICE – A local theatre company needs volunteers to help with ushering and concessions the last weekend in April and the first weekend in May. See Mrs. Cavalluzzi in Room 303 if interested. Mrs. Cavalluzzi
DANCE TEAM TRY OUTS – Try outs are next week, April 17th to 19th. Try out packets are available in the front office and from Mrs. Lawson. Applications are due to Mrs. Lawson by Monday, April 16th. Mrs. Lawson
YEARBOOK – Did you order a yearbook? Let’s hope so. As of Tuesday, there were only 49 books left to purchase. Check with Mrs. Zaldin in Finance if you aren’t sure if you purchased one. Mr. O’Donnell
COMMUNITY SERVICE – REACH Foundation is hosting Artworks from April 18th to April 26th from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. with times varying. All volunteers must sign up via their website at reach4pylusd.org. Click on volunteer, then community service. Ms. Armstrong
HAWK UNIVERSITY – Hawk University will be hosted in the Career Center on Monday, April 16th at 7:30 a.m. The topic counselors will be discussing is summer school and planning for next year. If you have questions about your summer school classes and paperwork please attend this presentation. The April 17th presentation has been cancelled.

CREATIVE WRITING CLUB JOURNAL SUBMISSIONS – The EDHS Creative Writing Club is currently creating our annual journal. We are currently accepting poems and short stories and art work and lyrics and essays and excerpts of novels and screenplays. All submissions should be sent to Mrs. Wolf at awolf@pylusd.org. For exact details see your English teacher. Submission deadline is TODAY. Mrs. Wolf
ASB ELECTIONS – Elections end TODAY. Use voting4schools.com to cast your vote. Mr. Campuzano
PROM TICKETS – Prom tickets are on sale. Get yours at the early bird ticket price: April 10 – 13: $70.00 with ASB and $80.00 without. April 16 – 27: $75.00 with ASB and $85.00 without. April 30 – May 11: $85.00 with ASB and $95.00 without. May 14 – 18: $95.00 with ASB and $105.00 without. Mr. Campuzano
PRISM TICKETS – PRISM is April 13th & 14th at 7:00 p.m. in the PAC. Tickets for the Hawks Nest will be available for purchase for either night TODAY at lunch for only $5.00. They are also for sale at the box office the night of the performance. Mr. Yoder

SENIOR SHIRT – If you have not gotten a senior season shirt, come to the Activities Office to sign up and have it delivered to you. Mr. Campuzano



SCHOLARSHIPS – Don’t forget about those scholarship applications. Upcoming scholarships due this week: Carl Karcher – Just added, this is for a $10,000 scholarship, and no one has applied. Due 4/16. APLE -$500 to a PYLUSD senior, minimum 3.0, good school involvement, and planning to work in public service. Due 4/13. Class of ’85 Golden Hearts – Up to $5000 for an EDHS senior. This scholarship is looking for a senior who has good school and community involvement and would hope to one day give back to El Dorado. This is a great opportunity. Deadline has been extended to 4/16. Please remember to check the scholarship bulletin for more great local opportunities. There are many scholarships with upcoming deadlines. Mrs. Campuzano
