As our social, political, and economic lives become increasingly globalized, it becomes increasingly important that we globalize our thinking – that we take every opportunity to become better informed about people and events in our nation and others, and the interrelationships between those people, events, and nations. To maximize our success at addressing and overcoming the many challenges the world will present in the years to come, we must truly begin to think with a global perspective. I congratulate you for taking that mission upon yourselves, and I look forward to our journey together this semester!
