**ACADEMIC DECATHLON – Academic Decathlon is a competition where the team from El Dorado competes against 41 other high schools in Orange County in ten academic subjects. The theme of the competition this year is Africa. Join us at lunch on Tuesday in Room 708 to find out more about it. See you then! Mr. Kanne
**BELL WEEK COIN DRIVE – Starting Monday of Bell Week we will be having a coin challenge with Valencia. This year’s proceeds will be going to the Hurricane Harvey Relief fund to help support victims of the hurricane in Houston. Mr. Campuzano
**GOOD LUCK VOLLEYBALL AND WATER POLO – Good luck to volleyball at Dave Mohs Tournament and to water polo at the Weisz Tournament this weekend. Mr. Campuzano
**BELL WEEK DRESS UP – Hey Hawks! Just a reminder that Bell Week is next week. On Monday, don’t sleep on us and wear PJ’s. On Tuesday we are going to attack the tigers so it’s tacky Tuesday. On Wednesday Valencia is trashy and Eldo’s classy so dress up spiffy. Thursday, Valencia is old news, so dress up as old people, and our tradition, crazy black and gold for Friday. Be ready to show your spirit next week and Boys, keep that bell! #BELLDO

FOOTBAL GAME DRESS UP – At TONIGHTS football game at Estancia, we are doing an Aloha Dress Up! So fill the Hawks Nest and wear your Hawaiian gear! Also, don’t forget your rally towels. Mr. Campuzano
ADVANCED WOMEN’S ENSEMBLE AUDITIONS – There will be an audition for 10th – 12th grade female singers interested in being a part of the auditioned Choir TODAY at lunch in the choir room. The choir performs at multiple choir festivals, amusement parks and school events. See Mr. Yoder for more info! Mr. Yoder
CARL’S JR. AT THE ALOHA DANCE – Purchase your Carl’s Jr. tickets this week and eat dinner at El Dorado before the Aloha Dance. You must purchase your ticket before Saturday. Tickets are $5.00. Look for the dance team table during lunch to purchase your ticket or see any dance team member or Mrs. Lawson. Mrs. Lawson
MOCK TRIAL – Want to be part of an award winning program here at El Dorado? Do you have an interest in law and a desire to work on your speaking and writing skills? If so, stop by Room 303 at lunch TODAY to hear more about El Dorado’s Mock Trial program. Hope to see you there! Ms. McIntosh

ALOHA DANCE – Our first dance of the year is the Aloha Dance on Saturday, September 9th from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. in the gym. Prices are from September 5th – 8th prices are $15.00 with ASB and $20.00 without ASB. At the door prices are $20.00 cash only. Mustache Mikes will be available at the dance for $2.00. Freshmen can come at 6:30, everyone else at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Zaldin
PSAT –The PSAT will be held at El Dorado on Saturday, October 14th from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Deadline to register is Thursday, September 21st. Go to the Finance Office before school, at break or after school by the deadline to reserve your test. The cost is $30.00. Ms. Armstrong

**SENIOR PERSONALITY PHOTO – Attention all seniors. Starting September 11th and ending September 29th come take your senior personality pictures in Room 902 during 3rd period, Monday through Friday with a note from your teacher and at lunch on Tuesday and Thursday.
