PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

ALL STUDENTS

**ACADEMIC DECATHLON – The El Dorado Academic Decathlon team was wonderfully successful last week, placing First Overall in Division 2 and eight among the 42 schools in the Orange County competition. Our highest individual point totals were by Kristen Mabry, Sean Beckman and Erica Vellanoweth. The most medals were earned by Ben May, who earned seven medals and had the eighth highest score among all 140 students in his GPA category. Caleb Garrett earned six medals, and three students earned four medals each: Kristen Mabry, Vanessa Ragan, and Jason Kison. All of our OCAD participants contributed to the team success: Ally Eiler, Adam Gorny, Troy Goudzwaard, Megan Haynes, Daniel Hwang, Sarah Kim, Leon Li, David Lopez, Ganesh Ramachandran, Kyle Reed Kevin Ren, Spencer Vito and James Yi. **CSF DISNEY MARATHON – Want a free Disneyland ticket? Want community service hours? Help volunteer in the Disneyland Half Marathon on May 14th. Registration starts February 21st. Come to room 704 to sign up at lunch on February 21st. Mrs. Oberle

SAT/ACT MOCK EXAMS – The SAT/ACT Mock Exams will be hosted here on campus on Saturday, February 25th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for only $10.00. The deadline is TODAY. Use the link to sign up on the counseling page on edhs.org or see Mrs. Hamilton for more info. Mrs. Hamilton
MAKE A WISH CLUB – Hey boys! Looking to show off your talents? Sign-ups will be until February 24th at the activities office for Mr. El Dorado. Don’t miss out on this opportunity! Ms. Tang
BOY’S VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS – Tryouts for boy’s volleyball will be held TODAY in the practice gym for all boys interested in playing volleyball. Tryouts begin at 3:30p.m. Come on out and experience one of the most popular sports in the world. Mr. Gullotti
ATTENTION 9TH TO 11TH GRADERS – Thinking about taking any AP courses next year? Join us for our AP Preview Night to get a sneak preview of next year and what the different AP courses are all about. All AP teachers will present quick info sessions so you can figure out what AP courses are right for you. The evening will begin promptly at 6:40 p.m. This event will take place on Wednesday, February 22nd at EDHS. All parents and students 9th through 11th grade are invited to attend. COMMUNITY SERVICE – Do you enjoy nature? Do you need community service hours? Then you should apply for the Parks and Recreation Departments Volunteen program. Pick up a form on the community service board in the office. Mr. Campuzano
COMMUNITY SERVICE – Community service hours are available helping Cub Scout Pack 897 during their Blue and Gold Banquet at the Danish Lutheran Church on Bastanchury in Yorba Linda on February 25th. The hours would be from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. doing a variety of things during the banquet. If interested call Walt Galli at 714-920-1175.

CSF – CSF applications for the 2nd semester are out now in Room 704. The application is due by February 24th. Everyone needs to reapply. Freshman are now welcome to join the California Scholarship Federation. Come have some fun. Mrs. Oberle


REACH FOUNDATION SHAMROCK N RUN – The Reach Foundation is having the annual Shamrock n Run. They need people to help out with this big event. Come check out the Community Service Board for more information.
