**CONGRATULATIONS – Congratulations to Emily Finnell and Karly Eaton for representing El Dorado at last Friday’s Chapman University’s Holocaust Art and Writing Contest Ceremony, where they had the chance to meet Holocaust survivors. These two scholars took the time to watch the testimony of a Holocaust survivor and create beautiful prose responses to that testimony. We are proud of students like Emily and Karly whose intellectual pursuits to bring their learning to life! Mrs. Amann
**COLLEGE ROADSHOW - The Princeton Review is hosting a College Roadshow that features a panel presentation by author Robert Franek author of Colleges that Create Futures and admissions deans from top universities, Marist College, George Washington University, University of Dayton and Drew University will be represented and available for discussion after the presentation. It will be at Yorba Linda High School on Thursday, March 22nd from 6:30 to 8:30. For more info see Mrs. Hamilton in the Career Center. Mrs. Hamilton
**JAPANESE CLUB – Have you ever wondered what your name would look like in Japanese? Maybe you want love or peace written in Japanese. Come have your name written or learn how to write these words in Japanese TODAY at lunch by the library! Mrs. Okada
**SUPERHERO CLUB – What if super speed, super strength, or the power of flight were a real thing? This week, the Superhero Club explores the question we’ve all thought about. What if superpowers were real? If you have an interest in science and physics, you’re going to want to join the Superhero Club this week. Grab your lunch and meet us in Room 903 on Wednesday for this eye-opening video presentation and discussion. Mr. Block
**CONGRATULATIONS – Congratulations to the El Dorado Varsity Color Guard. They competed at the WGI Regional at Ayala High School over the weekend and earned the Open Class Championship by taking first place over the rest of the competition. Current national rankings came out this morning and they are now ranked #1 in the nation among all of the schools attending World Championships in Dayton Ohio. Mr. Samson
COMMUNITY SERVICE – Wagner Elementary School is in need of volunteers to help with their carnival on April 20th from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. If interested email wagnercarnivalcommitee@gmail.com. Mr. Campuzano
CREATIVE WRITING JOURNAL EDITORS – If you would like to be an editor on this year’s journal, your application is due to Mrs. Wolf in Room 202 by the end of the day on Thursday. All students are welcome to apply. If you weren’t at our last meeting, stop by 202 and grab an application! Mrs. Wolf
MUSICAL THEATER AUDITIONS – If you love singing, dancing and acting, the musical theater class is the perfect elective for you! If you want to audition for this UC approved elective sign up in the theater for an audition on Tuesday or Thursday at lunch. The sign up is on the call board located directly inside the theater. For the audition, you need to bring 16-32 bars of sheet music in the key you intend to sing. There will be an accompanist to play for you.

SAT/ACT PRACTICE TEST – There will be a SAT/ACT practice test on Saturday, March 17th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The test is designed to help you decide which test is a better fit. The cost is $25.00 and is a fundraiser for the PTSA Student Leadership Group. To register pick up a flyer in the career center or front office. Mrs. Hamilton
