PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

ALL STUDENTS

**ACADEMIC DECATHLON – Your EDHS Academic Decathlon Team will be competing Saturday against 41 other high schools in Orange County. They have studied over 1000 pages of information about “The Sixties”, from laser technology to the Vietnam War to The Beatles. Team members are Dana Arneal, Sebastian Gutierrez, Anita Mohajeri, Nichols Barajas, Bailey Pettey, Teju Ramani, Jason Kison, Cameron Kish, Jasia Nakamoto, Maverick Shuck, Peter Weisel, Alex Hernandez and Eric Chang. **ESPORTS NEWS - Last Wednesday, the League of Legends Esports Team played game 1 of the 2019 North American Scholastic Esports Federation Tournament. They unfortunately lost to Edison High School 2 to 1 in an amazingly close best of three match. Mr. Block
MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS CLUB –There is a meeting Wednesday in room 509. Bring a magazine if you can for a fun project! Ms. Tingley
FRENCH CLUB – There is a meeting on Monday. We will be talking about Valentine’s Day in France.

INTERACT CLUB – There is a meeting on Tuesday, February 5th at lunch in Room 509. Join us to hear about upcoming community service opportunities. Ms. Tingley
CSF – California Scholarship Federation applications are available in Room 704. If your report card is sporting A’s and B’s, and you have no U’s in citizenship, then you could qualify! Students who are CSF members for 4 semesters of their last three years in high school are Seal Bearers, which earns them the right to wear Gold cords and Lamp pins on their graduation gown, earn special notation on their transcripts and receive a certificate and an extra seal on their diploma. FRESHMEN: this is your first opportunity to join CSF. Please do! SENIORS: you still need to qualify based on at least 1 semester of senior grades. Please apply! Mrs. Oberle
