**ARTS PERSON OF THE WEEK – Mr. Block has been impressed with Lovlee Campos’s design style and her
ability to come up with creative solutions whether it’s for a logo, t-shirt, or poster design. Aside from her creativity, Lovelee comes to class every day with a huge smile and a wonderful attitude. Keep up the great work and congratulations Lovelee! Mr. Campuzano
**DANCE TEAM – Want to be a part of next year’s Dance Team? Tryouts are April 8th, 9th and 10th. There is an informational meeting TODAY at 6:00 p.m. in the PE classroom. You can pick up a tryout packet from Mrs. Lawson or in the front office. Mrs. Lawson
**ATTENTION ALL FRESHMEN, SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS – Love science? Do research over the course of the year by applying to the Southern California Academy of Sciences 2019-2020 Research Training Program. Work on an actual research project with a professor for approximately 20 hours total from August through April. Online application is due June 15th. EL DORADO IDOL – Are you a singer who would like to earn some cash? Sign up to audition for our annual El Dorado Idol competition! Just scan the QR code on the audition flyers around campus to sign up for a time! Sign up by April 5th. Mrs. Switzer
CRAFT FOR A CAUSE – Come to the library to make a card to support our troops. A representative from the Yorba Linda Library will be on campus Wednesday with all the supplies and materials for the project. Your cards will be part of Operation Gratitude, a non-profit organization that sends care packages and letters to active military and veterans.

All grade levels, mark your calendars right now, 9th grade wear your class colors Monday, sophomores you represent your colors on Tuesday, 11th grade you’re on Wednesday, Seniors show your stuff next Thursday and Friday. COMMUNITY SERVICE – Blessed Sacrament Children’s Learning Center is having a fundraising event and needs help serving dinner from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. on April 27th. Contact Tracie Donaldson if interested at 714-528-3070.

COMMUNITY SERVICE – The Placentia Girl Scouts are hosting their Annual Father Daughter Pinewood Derby event and they need volunteers to help run the booths and the track. The event is Sunday, April 28th at the Yorba Linda Community Center There are different shifts available. To volunteer for this contact Angelica Skullr at PSUDerby@yahoo.com or 714-595-0299. **SENIOR OF THE WEEK - This week’s Senior of the Week is Kelly Browning! Kelly excels in her ceramics class with Mr. Picou and is always seen with an enormous smile and a positive attitude around campus. Kelly is the prime example of a Golden Hawk and is someone you’re going to want to meet. Congratulations Kelly on being Senior of the Week. Mr. Campuzano
ANGEL GAME – Seniors this is a special announcement just for you. On April 30th, the Angels are taking on the Toronto Blue Jays at Angel Stadium. They are hosting El Dorado seniors and teachers for that evening’s game. Because it’s the class of 2019, they are offering tickets to us for only $19.00, but here’s what you get, you each will receive a special edition Angels hat embroidered with the graduating year 2019 and a Shoehei Ohatani sweatshirt with your ticket. Right now I have 100 tickets available in the Activities Office. Tickets are available for anyone, but only seniors and teachers will get the hat, all other guest will receive the sweatshirt.
