Please see the attached notification for important information regarding demerits. Including how to find them in Aeries, and how to remove them. Please use the links in the attachment to find answers to questions you have about demerits.

Hello, Families and Students,

Effective November 2nd, students can view their demerit totals through the Aeries website. This information is available in the “Student Demographics” section of the student portal. Student’s demerit totals will be updated nightly in the “Message” field on the “Student Demographics” screen.

The attached screen image shows where staff, students, and parents can find this field on the demographics screen student data 1 screen. If you don't see a number or if it shows '0', you currently have no demerits.

We wanted to communicate this update as soon as possible. Our administrative team originally shared that demerits would be posted monthly for students to review. However, we needed to transition away from that process. Fortunately, our IT department was able to help us find a solution, allowing students to view their current demerit totals at any time through Aeries.

Additionally, effective January 4, students on the hold/loss of privileges list will have their lunch passes and parking permits revoked until all outstanding demerits have been cleared. This was communicated previously to all students through our Keep It Classy presentations in August. This gives students who have 6+ demerits plenty of time and opportunities to work them off.

Please refer to the attached detention and Saturday School schedule for information regarding available dates, times, and locations for students to remove demerits.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue to improve our processes and provide students with greater access to this information. We encourage families to review demerit totals with their students and discuss the importance of meeting school expectations and resolving outstanding demerits.

Thank you, EDHS Administration
