All  of my Spanish 2 classes will be working on "country reports" this week. Students will choose a Spanish speaking country and create a presentation that will be shared during the scheduled "midterm" period. This is in place of a formal, written test. There will not be an additional exam.  Absent students: Please read the attached requirements and rubric. This is an in-class project, but if you are absent it becomes homework.

Today was a review of Chapter 3B grammar and vocabulary. We reviewed affirmative commands, direct object pronouns, and irregular preterite verbs. Students translated the new vocabulary terms and also learned how to use "affirmative commands" in Spanish. Absent students: I've attached your new list; please translate all of the terms to English. Then, used the attached power point to take notes and practice "affirmative commands".

Today was the Chapter 2A Quiz. After the quiz, students translated the words from the Chapter 2B vocabulary list. Then, we watched the Videohistoria "Buscando una ganga" and responded to the follow up questions. Absent students: Please read the text on pages 104-105 of your textbook and respond to the questions in "Actividad 3" on page 105 using complete sentences. When you return to school, please schedule a day and time to make up the Chapter 2A quiz.

Today we finished the review of Chapter 2A. Students practiced writing negative sentences using reflexive verbs in the present tense, and also completed a crossword puzzle. Absent students: You are still required to take tomorrow's quiz, even if you are absent the day before (refer to my syllabus for further clarification).
