Today we continued to review for the upcoming midterm. The focus was primarily Chapter 2 grammar and vocabulary concepts. Absent students: I've attached today's review materials. 

Today we began reviewing for the midterm exam. We focused primarily on Chapter 1A concepts. Absent students: I've attached the review activities that we completed in class today, as well as a list of grammar concepts that you can study to prepare. 

Today was a general review of Chapter 3B grammar and vocabulary concepts. Students completed work from the Realidades 2 textbook and played a vocabulary game in groups. Absent students: Please complete "actividad 7" from page 135 of the Realidades 2 textbook. Please follow the "modelo" and write out the questions and responses for each item pictured. Use the preterite tense to construct the questions, and form your responses incorporating direct object pronouns. 

Today was a review of Chapter 3B concepts. Students completed activities from the Realidades 2 textbook, and also acted out verbal affirmative commands given by their partners.  Absent students: Please complete the following  . . . 

1. Read the "Videohistoria" dialogue on pages 160-61 of the textbook and answer the corresponding questions on page 161 using complete sentences. 

2. Please also complete "Actividad 16" on page 168

Today all Spanish 2 classes began Chapter 3B. Students translated the new vocabulary terms and also learned how to use "affirmative commands" in Spanish. Absent students: I've attached your new list; please translate all of the terms to English. Then, used the attached power point to take notes and practice "affirmative commands". 

Today was a comprehensive review of Chapter 3A. We completed activities that including direct object pronouns, vocabulary terms, and irregular verbs in the preterite tense. Absent students: Please complete the activities in the attached power point presentations.

Today we learned a new grammar concept: "direct object pronouns". Then, use the attached handout to complete activities 12 and 13 on pages 138-39 of the Realidades 2 textbook. 

Today was the Chapter 2B grammar and vocabulary quiz. Students translated Chapter 3A vocabulary after completing the quiz. Absent students: Please schedule a time to make up the quiz when you return to school to receive credit. I've also attached the new vocabulary list. 

Today was the final review day for Chapter 2B. Students completed multiple activities from the Realidades 2 textbook. The assigned classwork was:

Today we continued to wrap up the review of Chapter 2B grammar and vocabulary concepts. Students played a "Jeopardy" replica game to compete while reviewing conjugating in the "Preterite" tense, as well as demonstrative adjectives. Absent students: I've attached the Jeopardy review if you would like to take a look at it at home. Please review all regular and irregular "Preterite" notes, as well as demonstrative adjectives, and Chapter 2B vocabulary. 

Today we continued to review the "preterite" tense and learned 3 more irregular verbs: decir, traer, and dar. Students practiced writing using these irregular verbs and also reviewed demonstrative adjectives. Absent students: Please complete the activities included in the attached power point presentation, and copy down the 3 new verb charts. 

Today we practiced demonstrative adjectives while incorporating clothing vocabulary. Students completed a fill in the blank activity and described the clothing at H&M. 

Today all classes will be participating in an "hour of code". Students will be using the website www.code.org to practice basic java script. Absent students: You don't need to make up this assignment. 

Today we reviewed the "preterite" tense and "demonstrative adjectives". Absent students: Please take notes from the attached presentation and complete the practice activity on the last slide. 

Today we learned some irregular verb conjugations in the "Preterite" tense. Students took notes and then completed a practice worksheet. Absent students: Please copy the verb charts from the attached power point presentation and stop after the verb chart "servir". Then, use the new and old "Preterite" notes to complete the attached practice worksheet. 

Today we finished defining all of the "Preterite" verbs from yesterday's story "Los pantalones nuevos". Absent students: Please refer to the materials posted yesterday. This was a 2 day lesson. Gracias :)

Today was the Chapter 2A Quiz. After the quiz, students translated the words from the Chapter 2B vocabulary list. Then, we watched the Videohistoria "Buscando una ganga" and responded to the follow up questions. Absent students: Please read the text on pages 104-105 of your textbook and respond to the questions in "Actividad 3" on page 105 using complete sentences. When you return to school, please schedule a day and time to make up the Chapter 2A quiz. 

Today we finished our review of Chapter 2A. Students completed 2 different review activities to practice all components of the chapter. Absent students: Please use your notes to complete the fill in the blank activities in the attached presentations. Today we started by reviewing the 15 sentences about "Mi rutina diaria" that students wrote in class on Monday. Then, we used a Quizlet study set to practice writing sentences with reflexive and non reflexive verbs. Absent students: Use this link : https://quizlet.com/_2s79gj to access the study set. Translate the sentences fro English to Spanish and check your work. 

Today we practiced using multiple reflexive verbs in the same sentence, and also distinguished between reflexive and non-reflexive verbs. Absent students: Please complete the attached practice worksheet. 

Today we continued to discuss and write about our daily routines by using reflexive verbs. Absent students: Please view the attached power point and write complete sentences using reflexive verbs to describe each part of the daily routine. 

Today we completed a practice worksheet to review the long form of possessive adjectives. We also learned about Shakira's daily routine, and wrote about our own. Absent students: Please pick up the practice worksheet when you return to school. View the power point I've attached with Shakira's routine; then use reflexive verbs to write 5 sentences about your own routine.

Class today was spent writing and rehearsing our skits ("diálogos). All groups will present on Monday. Absent students: You will submit a written dialogue only. Your dialogue needs to meet the requirements of the rubric, but can consist of a series of questions and responses only.  The length requirement is 10 lines. I've attached the rubric and prompt for your reference. 

Today we practiced expressing obligations using the verb "tener". Absent students: Please print or take notes from the attached presentation, and write 6 obligations using the formula "tener + que + infinitivo". Don't forget to show me your work! 

Today we reviewed some important stem changing verbs! Absent students: Please review the grammar information in the attached power point, and write complete sentences incorporating each stem changing verb in the present tense.
