Medieval vs. Renaissance in Google Classroom

Medieval vs. Renaissance

Compare and contrast the culture and music of the Medieval period with the culture and music of the Renaissance period. In a focused essay of 250 words or more, explain major differences in social values, artistic priorities, musical styles, and how changes in society influenced musical composition and performance. Use specific examples (types of music, settings for performance, patronage, and cultural attitudes toward art and religion). Conclude by reflecting on which period’s musical culture you find more compelling and why.

To conclude and reflect:
"In summary, the main differences are ____ and ____. Personally, I find ____ more compelling because ____."
