LA 4 January 19th

One more week until finals! This week, we are finishing Macbeth and beginning to review. We will have an in-class essay on Friday. Also, the mentor agreement for Senior Project is due on Friday--it must be here, even if you are not!

January 4th--LA 4

We have a busy schedule! This week, there is a quiz over Acts I-II of Macbeth on Wednesday and a mini-essay due on Friday. The essay should be typed in MLA format. For senior project, a mentor agreement is due on January 22nd. Finally, make sure to have those SSR forms completed by the day of the final.

LA 4--December 7th

We are finished with Canterbury Tales, and will have a final on Tuesday. We are starting Macbeth this week, and will read the play during class. The evidence sheet for Senior Project is due Friday, 12/18.

LA 4--Nov. 30th

We will finish up Canterbury Tales this week, and will have a final on Friday. We are also beginning presentations on the pilgrimage project. Our next unit will be Macbeth.

LA 4--Nov. 16th

We will read "The Pardoner's Tale" and watch "The Merchant's Tale" and "The Franklin's Tale" this week. We also have a quiz tomorrow, focusing on genre and satire in the first four stories we've read. Keep working on your pilgrimage project--we will begin presentations when we return from Thanksgiving break.

LA 4--Nov. 9th

We are continuing with The Canterbury Tales, focusing on "The Summoner's Tale" and "The Pardoner's Tale." There will be a quiz next week covering four of the stories we've studied so far. We will be in the library on Friday to work on the pilgrimage project. Finally, any voluntary Beowulf essay rewrites are due tomorrow.

LA 4--Nov. 2nd

We are continuing with The Canterbury Tales, focusing on The Nun's Priest's Tale, The Knight's Tale, and The Summoner's Tale. There will be a quiz next week over the four stories we've read so far. We will also be in the library again on Friday to work on the Pilgrimage Project.

LA 4--Oct. 26th

We are reading The Prologue and The Wife of Bath's Tale this week, focusing on satire and story genre. On Friday, we will be in the library to work on the Pilgrimage project.

LA 4-Oct. 19th

The Beowulf essay is due on Wednesday! It should be typed in MLA format. There is a 5 point deduction if the essay is not correctly typed in MLA format, so follow the handout! We are also starting The Canterbury Tales this week, focusing on background notes, the Prologue, and the introduction of the Pilgrimage project.
