We are finishing Othello this week. On Thursday and/or Friday, we will start an art analysis project that will be submitted to me through Google Drive. The AP One sheet is due on the day of finals.

We will continue with Othello, focusing on Acts II-III this week, and looking at Iago's use of rhetoric. The only homework will be finishing worksheets, and working on an AP one sheet. The AP one sheet is due on the day of finals.

We are finishing up with Gatsby, and will have the test and essay this week (Wed. and Thurs.). Our next unit is Othello, which we will begin reading next week in class. The AP One sheet for Gatsby is due on Mon. 12/14

We will finish Gatsby this week, and will have the final and essay next week. Chapters 5-7 due Tuesday and Chapters 8-9 due Friday. The AP One Sheet will be due on 12/14.

We will discuss chapters 1-2 of Gatsby this week, and have a quiz on chapters 3-4 later this week. Chapters 5-7 will be assigned over break, and will be due on Tuesday, Dec. 1st. 

We are focusing on chapters 1-2 of Gatsby this week, along with information about the Jazz Age time period. There will be a quiz on Gatsby on Thursday.

We are finishing with Antigone! The final is Tuesday, and the essay is on Wednesday. The typed essay, along with the AP One Sheet, will be due on Mon. 11/9. Our next unit is The Great Gatsby--I will introduce the novel on Thursday. Chapters 1-2 will be due on 11/12--I will check annotations and we will have a quiz.

We are wrapping up Antigone this week, focusing on scenes 4-5 and the odes. Next week will be busy, with the final and essay, as well as the AP One sheet. We have vocabulary this week; definitions on Wednesday and quiz on Friday. Short story essay rewrites are due on Friday; please see me if you are planning on rewriting.

We are beginning Antigone this week, focusing on the Prologue and Scene 1. We will also analyze the odes at the end of each scene. With this unit, students should annotate in class while we read, and should work on an AP One Sheet, which will be due at the end of the unit. I suggested working on the One Sheet in stages for time management purposes. We also have vocabulary this week--definitions due Thursday and quiz on Friday.

We will finish reading Oedipus, and will work on a poster depicting the tragic hero traits in that play. We will begin reading Antigone later in the week. We have vocab. this week--definitions due Wed. and quiz on Fri.
