This is a beginning Algebra class, which covers the first half of the Algebra 1 State Content Standards.  We cover Chapters 1 through 6 in the textbook "Algebra: Concepts and Skills."  Homework is assigned every Tuesday and Thursday.  Grading is based on the following:  

Classwork/Notes - 50%                                         

Homework - 16%                                        

Quizzes - 17%                                        

Tests - 17%

Quizzes and Tests may be re-taken to improve a poor performance on the first attempt.  This class meets one year (2 required) of the math requirement for graduation.
