Free Verse Poetry: Using Whitman's poetry as a model, write a 20-line Free Verse poem about either a specific aspect of America (ex: labor, sorrows), or a certain aspect of life (ex: Part 6: Death, Part 46 Adventurous Living, Part 52 Unrestrained Living). Be sure you poem includes annotated examples of alliteration, internal rhyme, assonance, consonance, personification, & imagery.
 
Assonance: the repetition of vowel sounds within several words found in a single line of verse (not at the start of every one);
