These handouts will be used to track information and quotations from the readings we will begin next week. (Monday 11/2- Friday- 11/6 )
Use the graphic organizer to chart the relevant information from the readings. (Monday-Friday -11/2-11/6)
After we read the supplemental texts, you will write an Argumentative Essay answering the Essential Question on the American Dream (11/6- 11/11)
We will have a peer edit session after you have submitted your first draft of the essay. (11/11)
You will have two days to revise your essay based on the check list, and peer review comments you were given. (The FINAL DRAFT ESSAY will be due Friday, 11/13).

Step 1: Open the article from the homework assigned last week. “The Lost Generation and Millennials”.
Step 2: Read (or reread) the article silently and highlight any examples that address the EQs: What is the American Dream and Is the American Dream attainable by all Americans?
Step 3: Answer the questions at the bottom of the article.
Step 4: Once you have completed steps 1-3, you can continue completing your American Dream EQ tracker.
Step 5: If you are finished with ALL of the steps above, go to youtube and type in the words, "The American Dream". Watch some video clips and take notes on the doc below.
