2025 - 2026 EDHS Reflections
"I Belong"
General Information:
- You do not need to be a member of the PTSA to participate (but it’s nice)
- EDHS can only advance 3 entries per the 6 art categories - to the Council level of competition (and showcase)
- You can submit multiple entries, but If in the same art category, you will compete against yourself
- Your Entry is to be created specifically for Reflections, if advanced, it will be held for further Reflections exhibits.
- Your submission needs to be created only by you, but the use of models, actors, dancers, and musicians is
allowed - Craft the Artist Statement carefully, 10-100 words – the statement holds a high value in the judging
- If a Council advanced entry needs to be photographed for AP Art, it can be temporarily returned
- If not advancing, the artwork will be exhibited and returned earlier than previous years
- Follow the directions carefully, to comply with the specifications of the Art Category (see link below)
Student Forms:
- This year, we are transitioning into the Online Student Form
- You will require a form per Entry
- You will need to upload your submission at the end of the entry process, be prepared when starting the Form
- Use the device that gives you access to files for: Dance, Film, Music, Photography and the PDFs for Literature and Music Notation. You will photograph your Photography (if needed) and Visual Arts (including 3D)
- Do not use your school email
- Paper copies for the Student Packet will be located in the School Library
The Office Art Drop: Deadline TBD (generally last week of Oct.)
- Physical entries STILL need to be turned in to the office: Literature, copy of Music Notation (place in file folder or manila envelope) Photography and Visual Arts (mount on a hard backing board then label). If using the Paper
- Form give a legible copy, write in pen
- Dance, Film and Music do not need to be turned in via USB, unless you use the paper Student Forms
- Physical Entries MUST be clearly labeled on the back with your name and grade (lit. and music notation label with pencil)
